On 22nd January 2016, over 60 participants participated at the annual ISE Night Cycling for an overnight cycle which took them along the eastern part of Singapore. The heavy rain prior to the event did not dampen the mood of the participants as they eagerly gathered at Tampines for the start of the event. This year, the route took participants on a scenic journey across Singapore, paying visit to a number of Singapore’s largest icons; East Coast Park, Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay are just a few of the many places visited. Students across all years of undergraduate study were given the opportunity to bond over a feast of local delights at Simpang Bedok and Lau Pa Sat. Everyone also enjoyed a unique view of Singapore as they witness the sunrise at Marina Barrage before parting ways at East Coast Park. Tired faces were seen all round but there were plenty of smiles at the end of the event as everyone gave positive feedback and encouraged more of such bonding events. This year’s event proved to be just as successful with strong support and interest from the students, accumulating in a night of fun, friendship and adventure
Many thanks to the ISE Club and the ISE Department for the joint collaboration in making the event successful after months of hard-work and painstaking efforts. Special thanks to the sponsors for their generosity as well. Being an annual tradition to ISE, we look forward to a bigger and better event next year.
